Co-host WDS and DHCP on the same server

03 / 03 / 2014 by Server, Windows Deployment (WDS) Yorum yok / No Comments

You should configure the WDS server to listen on a different port if you are planning to Co-host WDS and DHCP on the same server.

All you need to do is modifying an existing registry key value to 0 (zero).

Run the regedit on your DHCP & WDS Server and find the key below

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WDSServer\Providers\WDSPXE

Then change UseDHCPPorts value to 0 (zero).

And run the command below to activate your change.

WDSUTIL /Set-Server /UseDHCPPorts:No /DHCPOption60:Yes
